She was born Pearlene Mingo, to the late John Wesley Mingo and Annie Folk Mingo, on January 1, 1941 in Colleton County. She departed this earthly life on May 19, 2017 at the Colleton Regional Medical Center in Walterboro. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joshua.
