David English Marshman, 78, of Williston, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017, due to complications following a stroke.
Born February 28, 1939, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Clifford and Grace Marshman, Dave was the youngest of three children. He grew up in Mt. Beluah, Wisconsin, and moved to Canada upon the death of his parents. After graduating high school, Marshman enlisted in the United States Air Force on April 15, 1957. He served for over five years, with three years’ service overseas.
In 1962, Marshman married the late Yvonne Malmberg. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force on April 14, 1963, after reaching the ranking of Airman Second Class.
Marshman worked for many years as a purchasing agent for several manufacturing firms throughout the United States, and lived in many locations around the west coast. In 1997, Marshman moved to Williston and worked at National Beverage Screen Printers, Inc. On August 27, 2004, he married Barbara Bellamy Marshman. An avid golfer and collector of unusual items, Marshman was beloved by many.
Predeceased by his parents and siblings, Marshman is survived by his wife, stepdaughters Sally (Tal) Fickling of Blackville and Jessi (Allen) Ford of Williston, and two grandchildren, Tolllie and Rynn Fickling.
On Friday, June 2, 2017, visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Folk Funeral Home, 170 Elko Street, Williston.
