Funeral services for Jessie Ball Williams, 83, of Gaston, will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Sunny Vista Church of God, North, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Reverends Obed Ortiz and Bobby Gene Williams will be officiating. The family has asked that monetary donations be given to Folk Funeral Home, 170 Elko Street, Williston, S.C. 29853 to help with expenses.
Mrs. Williams passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017.
Born in Whitmire, Jessie was a daughter of the late Willie and Jury Welch Ball. She was a homemaker, formerly worked for Hardee’s, was a faithful member of the Church of God and loved to play rummy and watch television.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathy (Wayne) Beason of Orangeburg, Joyce Williams of Orangeburg, Patsy Russell of Gaston and Linda (Bobby) Goodwind of Leesville; sons, Thomas (Mary) Williams of Springfield and Billy Williams of Neeses; sister, Beatrice (Charles) Hudson of Walterboro; thirty-five grandchildren, fifty-eight great-grandchildren and a large number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernell Williams; sons, Ralph, Dennis, Gene Allen; sisters, Edna, Alice, and Geneva and a brother, Donald Ball.
