Mr. Sammie Lee Kelly, aka “Sam”, age 70, was born on August 5, 1947, in Allendale to Dora Bradley Kelly.
He received his education at Job Corps in Bamberg, and worked in landscaping for many years.
“Sam”, as he was affectionately known, will be remembered for the love he had for his family and friends, and he will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Besides his father and grandparents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, one son-in-law, two brothers, one sister and one brother-in-law.
Our Heavenly Father called him from labor to reward on September 10, 2017, at the Trident Medical Center in N. Charleston.
He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, two children; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; loving mother, Dora Kelly of Allendale; one brother, Henry Kelly of Allendale; one sister, Vivian Smith of Allendale; special and devoted friend, Dorothy Sesler of Allendale; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.
A Celebration of Life Service was held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at Ervington Baptist Church in Allendale. Rev. William H. Burison provided words of comfort. Friends of the family served as pallbearers and flower attendants. Burial followed at Ervington Baptist Church Cemetery.
B.F. Cave Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
