Funeral services for Mary Margaret Sox Zissette, 87, of Denmark, will be held 3 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Denmark with the Reverend Matt Thomas officiating; burial will be in the Bamberg Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, February 18 at Folk Funeral Home, Denmark, and other times at Holland Hitch, 1119 Heritage Hwy., Denmark. Memorial contributions may be sent in Mrs. Margaret’s memory to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 950 West Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
Mrs. Margaret passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018.
Born in Lexington County, she was a daughter of the late Earl Sox and Ollie Mae Corley Sox and was married to the late Lewis David Zissette. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Denmark.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Wood and Patricia Varnadoe of Hilda; grandchildren, Keith (Stacy) Wood, Eric (Delores) Wood, Angela Varnadoe, Amy Varnadoe, Amanda (Jorge) Estolt; 15 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, William Nicholas Wood; sisters, Nettie Shull, Frances Goff, Earline Hite, Betty Smith, Elease Smith, Gladys Keisler; and a brother, George “Buster” W. Sox.
