Shirley Sanders Ashmore Causey, 63, wife of Glen Dale Causey Sr., resident of White Oak Road,Woodruff, died Friday, February 23, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born May 7, 1954 in Barnwell to the late Charles and Eunice Sanders, she graduated from Barnwell High School. She was twice married, first to the late Dan Ashmore for 31 years.
Shirley was very active in her community and church, having been a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Ware Shoals School Board. She was a member of Cavins First Baptist Church in Woodruff and a former member of Ware Shoals First Baptist Church.
Surviving other than her husband of almost two years of the home, are her children, Todd Ashmore and wife Mary, Tara Ashmore Prochaska Rockett and husband Troy, all of Roebuck, Glen Dale Causey Jr, Jeana Collins and husband Billy, all of Conway; her grandchildren, Nicole Duplay, Cody Ashmore, Hannah Ashmore, Sydney Duplay, Bradley Ashmore, Natalie Rockett, Elijah Rockett, Ansley Prochaska, Zackary Rockett, Adam Prochaska, Ashton Jordon, Amanda Causey, Alicia Causey, Madison Collins, and Makala Collins; 6 great-grandchildren; her sister, Brenda Hallman; her brothers, Ralph Sanders and Willard Sanders.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, February 26 at 2 p.m. from the Oakbrook Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Carroll W. Caldwell officiating. Entombment followed the service.
The family is at their respective homes and received friends immediately following the service in the Oakbrook Memorial Park Family Room.
