Lennell Stroman Jr. - Williston

Funeral services for Lennell Patrick Stroman Jr., 53, of Williston, will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, October 22 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Lennell passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016.

Born in Brooklyn, NY he was a son of Barbara Thomas Stroman and the late Lennell Patrick Stroman Sr. He was a professional boxer and was the first person to knock Ronald Winky Wright to the canvas. He boxed in France and also in the 1980s Olympics. Lennell always had a true passion for boxing. He served in the U.S. Navy and formerly worked at the Sara Lee Sock Company.

Survivors include his mother, Barbara Stroman of Columbia; wife, Elizabeth Williams Stroman of the home; daughter, Mashalla Stroman (Earl Marshall) of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, Jeremiah Stroman, Anthony Stroman, Ja’Don Stroman, Lennell Patrick Stroman III, Hakeem Fulton, Shomari Fulton; step-daughter, Cierra Fulton; sister, Monique Stroman; sisters-in-law, Olivia Williams, Toni Williams, Tasha Chute; brothers, Tyrone Stroman, Steve Copeland, James Harley; brother-in-law, John Henry Williams; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Maggie and John Williams; aunt, Mildred (Velton) Dorsey; grandsons, Jayvion and Zayvion Fulton; one grandson on the way and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Aziz Fulton.
