Funeral services for Robert Steven McNeil, 65, of Williston, will be held on Sunday, February 12 at 3 p.m. at Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.
Mr. McNeil passed away on February 10, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. McNeil was born in Charlotte, NC. He lived in Cameron for many years and was a pilot and co-owner of the McNeil Crop-dusting business. He moved to Williston in 1992. He was a self-employed freight hauler and traveled all across the United States for many years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed golfing with the local senior golfing group. He enjoyed fishing with his brother-in-law Mike Ridgeway. He also enjoyed hunting and all other sports. You could catch him most mornings at the local Hardee’s having breakfast with his wife and his Hardee’s breakfast group. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
He attended Grace Covenant Church of God in New Ellenton.
Mr. McNeil is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Debra Williams McNeil of Williston; daughters, Karen McNeil (Adam Calvert) of Williston, and Keri (Doc) Bernstel of Columbia; son Travis (Melody) McNeil of Aiken; grandchildren, Neil Lindsey, Abbygail Lindsey, Steven Lindsey; brothers, Kenneth McNeil of Cameron, Don McNeil of Cameron; sister, Becky Breland of Swansea, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert McNeil of St. Matthews and June McNeil of Cameron.
