Mrs. Carrie Lee Bush, age 79, of Barnwell, was born on May 28, 1937, to the late James Gene Cave and the late Julia Mae Wallace.
Seeking God’s direction and guidance she joined the St. John Baptist Church in Boiling Springs.
Carrie received her education at Diamond Dale School in Boiling Springs. She later moved to New York where she worked and retired from North Central Bronx Hospital in Bronx, NY after 41 years.
Carrie was a loving and kind person and will be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends.
She was married to the late Franklin Bush for 40 years before the Lord called him home.
Besides her husband, parents, and grandparents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Julia Ann Patterson; one niece, Zeretta Cave; two nephews, Mark Cave and Tyron Cave; and one grandnephew, Quinton Cave.
Our Heavenly Father saw fit to call her from labor to reward on February 13, 2017, at her home in Barnwell.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, four sons: Sammie L. Bush, and Rod Bush of Barnwell, Harry L. Bush of Aiken, and Malcolm Bush of Jacksonville, FL; eight grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren;one brother, Thurnell Cave of Augusta, Ga.; five sisters, Annie (Herman) Priester, and Gladys Cave of Barnwell, Dora Priester of Aiken, Barbara (Raymond) Stokes of Jacksonville, FL, and Virginia (Roland) Camps of Columbia; two aunts, Earline Wallace, and Mary Lee White of Aiken, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.
The funeral service was 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the St. John Baptist Church in Boiling Springs with words of comfort by Pastor Freddie Bush. The burial followed in the church cemetery.
B.F. Cave Funeral Chapel in Allendale was in charge of arrangements.
