Funeral services for Bebeta “Betty” Martin Blume, 75, of Denmark, will be held 2 o’clock p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, with the Reverend Matt Thomas and Dr. Thomas Terry officiating; burial will be in Barnwell County Memory Gardens on Reynolds Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Gregg Covington, Terry Dyches, Steve Martin, F. C. Noles, Billy Turner, Mark Whetstone and Phillip Whetstone. Bebeta passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017.
Born in Barnwell County, she was a daughter of the late Milage Duncan Martin and Meredith Collins Martin. She was a member of Denmark First Baptist Church, previously worked at the Sunbeam Company and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Luther Blume III of the home; a son, Tracy Neal Blume of Imperial Beach, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Gibson of Blackville, Mrs. Elaine (Billy) Whetstone of Cope; grandchildren, Alicia Nicole Blume, Yesenia Celeste Blume, Bryan Anthony Blume; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Nathan Roy Martin, Frank Kneece Martin; and a brother-in-law, Henry Phillip Gibson.
