Henry Arthur Creech, 86, of Summerville, died Sunday, December 17, 2017.
His funeral service will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Deer Park Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Barnwell County Memory Gardens (2624 Reynolds Road) at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arthur was born November 6, 1931 in Allendale County, the son of the late Lide Creech and Aggie Padgett Creech. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and retired as a Nuclear Reactor Operator with Savannah River Plant. Arthur was a former member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church in Barnwell, and is a current member of Deer Park Baptist Church. He provided guitar ministry for many years in area nursing homes.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Crowder Parker Creech of Summerville; three sons: Arthur Glenn Creech (Pam) of New Orleans, La., Greggory Dean Creech of Aiken, Bryan Clyde Creech (Dominique) of Hilton Head; daughter, Dawn Willette Johnson (Clay) of Knoxville, Tenn.; stepson, Brian Parker of Lulu, Ga.; stepdaughter, Bridget Sellars of Summerville, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was widower of Doll Harrison Creech.
