Funeral services for Carolyn Chavis Hutson, 81, of Springfield, will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Salley, with Pastor David Pell and Reverend Jared Pemper officiating; burial will be in the Springfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 20 at Folk Funeral Home, Williston.

Carolyn passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 17, 2016.

Born in Orangeburg County, she was a daughter of the late William Clifton Chavis and Rosa Lee Chavis. She attended Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, formerly worked as a seamstress and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Isiah “Buster” Hutson Jr.; daughters, Brenda Hutson (Jim Dantzler), Debbie (James) Parker; son, Jerry Lee (Cheryl) Hutson; sister, Pansy Rushton, all of Springfield, Norma Lee (Frederick) Hoffman of Swansea; brothers, Wyman (Louise) Chavis of Gaston, Morris (Lilly) Chavis of Congaree, Raymond Chavis of Springfield; grandchildren, Ryan Hutson, Tiffanie (Randolph) Powell, Jeremy (Elizabeth) Hutson, Kayla Hutson (fiancé Patrick Wilson); great-grandchildren, Christian Hutson, Tyler Hutson; step-great-grandchildren, Kevin, Austin, Lucas, Zachary and Willow Lahnert, Destiny and Hunter Powell; great-great-granddaughter, Mallory and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Modell Proveaux and brothers, Shelley and Wiley J. Chavis.

Olean McConnell

Mrs. Olean E. Jones McConnell, 89, of Barnwell, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Pruitt Health Care of Barnwell.

Olean was born in Columbia to the late Buck and Jesse Reynolds Wallace and was later adopted by the late Charles O. Jones and Julia Delk Jones Black. She graduated from Barnwell High School in 1946 with athletic skills. She retired from Milliken Inc. as a secretary of the maintenance department with 30 years’ service. Olean was a charter member of Hagood Avenue Baptist Church, having the honor of being sent by Barnwell First Baptist Church to help set up missions in 1952.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 24 at 3 p.m. in Hagood Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Kenneth Catoe officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell Co. Memory Gardens Cemetery on Reynolds Road. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mole Funeral Home.

Survivors include her three sons, Charles L. (Betty) McConnell of Barnwell, William E. (Deborah) McConnell of New Ellenton and Richard L. (Donna) McConnell of Barnwell; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. McConnell, a step daughter, Patricia M. Wilson and a sister, Dorothy W. Mathis.

Funeral services for Lonnie Hutson, 85, of Blackville, will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, with Reverend Tom Summers officiating. Burial will be at the Barnwell Memory Gardens on Reynolds Road.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the funeral home in Williston. They have asked that memorial contributions be given to the Blackville United Methodist Church, 50 Spring Circle, Blackville, SC 29817 or to the Hospice Care of South Carolina, 27 Hugh Street, Barnwell, SC 29812.

Lonnie passed away Sunday July 24, 2016 at his home in Blackville.

Born in Orangeburg County he was a son of the late Bob Harrison and Lou Ella Driggers Hutson. He retired from E.I. DuPont and worked for Westinghouse at the Savannah River Site as a Reactor Operator and Maintenance Mechanic. He attended the Blackville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-two years, Mary Fanning Hutson of the home; sons, Larry D. Hutson and William T. “Timmy” Huston and his wife Tammy, all of Blackville; two grand-daughters, Leslie Hutson (Jeffery S. Fulton), Kimberly Hutson (William Blount) and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Lonnie Dean Hutson; sisters, Louise H. Grubbs, Thelma H. Brown; brothers, Grover, Willard, Otis, Arthur and BH Hutson.

 We are extremely grateful for the compassion, support and kindness shown by the doctors and staff of Hospice Care of SC and Teresa Gunnells for her love, support and care shown to Lonnie and his family.

Wilmer 'Bubba' Dorch

Graveside services for Wilmer “Bubba” Dorch, 68, of 804 NW 6th Ave., Hallandale, Fla., formerly of Martin, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Furse Mill Cemetery in Martin with Reverend Michael O’Neal officiating.

Wilmer “Bubba Dorch was born on July 22, 1947 to the late union of the late Wilken and Felene Flint Dorch in Martin. He attended the local schools of Allendale County, and was a member of the Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Martin.

“Bubba” relocated to Hallandale, Florida and resided there for over 50 years. He was employed by J and K Roofing for over 40 years. On Thursday, July 14, 2016 “Bubba’s” Earthly chapter came to a close in Hallandale Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Simmons; one sister, Viola Robinson, and three nephews, Jarvis Beckett, Johnnie L. Brodus Jr. and Davis Johnson Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his soul mate, Dorothy Shelton; five daughters, Tranell Wiggins of Jacksonville, Fla., Helene Graham of Irmo, Linda L. Dorch, Rebee Dorch of Hollywood, Fla. and Renee Monroe of Hallandale, Fla.; three sons, Henry Lee Dorch, Thaddius ( Annette) Franklin and Jemal Simmons of Hollywood, Fla.; six sisters, Martha Ann (Johnnie Lee ) Brodus of Martin, Daisy Johnson, Shirlene Dorch of Barnwell,  Betty Dorch of Camden, Fannie Dorch and Rebecca (Calvin) Roberts of Columbia; two brothers, David Dorch and Jerry Dorch of Martin; eight sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and a host of grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Harry O'Neal Sr.

Funeral services for Harry O’Neal, 56, of 151 R.J. Johnson Road, Martin, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2016, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, with Reverend Doctor Hayward Dock officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Brother Harry “Big O” O’Neal Sr. was born on May 21, 1960 in Hollywood, Florida to Mr. Jessie O’Neal and the late Mrs. Laverne Simmons O’Neal. He was called into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at his residence.

At an early age he joined the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. Harry was a faithful servant of God. He served as Assistant Chief of the Usher Board until his health declined. Harry attended the public schools of Barnwell County, graduating in 1978 from Barnwell High School. In 1980, he joined the United States Army where he later received an honorable discharge. He later joined the National Guard to continue to serve his country.

He was formerly married to Priscilla Broadus and to that union three children were born: Harry Jr. (Duke), Yolonda (Pig), and Maria (Ria). He was a loving and devoted father to his children. Harry was employed with Savannah River Site through Local Union 150 after completion of his pipefitter certification. He later became employed with Three Rivers Solid Waste Authority as a Special Commodity Relocating Technician until retiring due to disability in 2014. Harry served his community as a volunteer on Martin Fire Department for many years. Harry was a man of few words that enjoyed landscaping during his leisure time. Of all the accolades and accomplishments in his life, the greatest achievement of all was being a father and grandfather. He was a compassionate giver that always provided for others before thinking of himself.

Harry is preceded in death by two children, Yolonda O’Neal and Harry O’Neal Jr.; one sister, Alice O’Neal; two brothers, Laverett O’Neal and Elonza O’Neal.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories: his devoted father, Jessie O’Neal of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter; Maria O’Neal of Martin; five grandchildren: Zacaria O’Neal of Atlanta, Ga., Emani O’Neal of Blackville, Kareem Riddle, Trinity Riddle and Serenity Riddle, all of Martin; three sisters: Cherry Jones of Allendale, Diane (Arthur) Jones of Martin, and Lucille (Robert Lee) Robinson of Martin; two sisters-in-law, Geraldine O’Neal of Hallendale, Fla. and Charles Ann Mack of North Augusta; four brothers-in-law, Columbus Jones of Barnwell, Lankward Gooding of Allendale, Glenn (Marina) Brodus of Atlanta, Ga. and Herman (Annie Mae) Brodus of Wisconsin; two aunts, Alberta (Ennis) Bush and Estella (Lee) Henderson of New Jersey; a special loved one, Marion Brooks of Martin; devoted friends, Fred Brodus, John Henry Williams Jr., Marie Smoaks, and Essie Smoaks of Martin; three godchildren, Corey Spiller of Fort Bennie, Ga., Chantevra McClain of Martin and Orlando Spiller Jr. of Barnwell; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Venetia Hammet Price

Venetia Hammet Price, 72, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in Azalea Woods Nursing Facility in Aiken.

Mrs. Price was born in Barnwell on January 10, 1944. She was a daughter of the late Ulysses Blanding Hammet Jr. and the late Myrtle Simmons Gould. She was a former employee of the S&S Cafeteria in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.  Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Survivors include her sister, Alline Hammet Ferguson of North Augusta; three nephews, Len Wilson, Gregg Hammet and David Hammet; as well as several great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, U.B. Hammet III.

Robert Lee Chisolm

Funeral services for Robert Lee Chisolm, 62, of 1523 Water Street, Apartment A-1, Allendale, were held at noon Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Paul Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Maeshell Gordon officiating. Burial followed in the Priester Cemetery.

Robert Lee Chisolm was born in Ulmer on December 16, 1953 to the late Furman Wiggins and the late Lizzie Chisolm. He was educated in the Allendale County Public Schools. At an early age, he joined Paul Chapel Baptist Church and was later baptized. He was married to Doris Chisolm for over 16 years. Robert was a painter and he enjoyed his job. Robert was also a people person and enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a great spirit and would often make you laugh. He was the one that would pick you up when you were down.

He entered into eternal rest on July 22, 2016 at the Allendale County Hospital.

Robert is preceded in death by three sons: Leonard Chisolm, Clinton Chisolm and Ena Bynum; one sister, Geraldine Chisolm; and seven brothers: Clarence Chisolm, Ricky Chisolm, Phillip Chisolm, Tyrone Chisolm, Maurice Wiggins, Furman Wiggins Jr. and Louis Wiggins.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories, two sons: Tyrone Doe of Allendale and Clifford (Heather) Chisolm of Augusta, Ga.; one daughter, Leslie Chisolm of Allendale; four sisters: Mary Chisolm of Brooklyn, NY, Furmell Henderson of Bronx, NY, Deloris Richburg of Charlotte, NC and Nikki Chisolm of Allendale; four brothers: James Wiggins of Florence, Timothy (Sharon) Wiggins and Barry Wiggins, both of Brooklyn, NY and Roddy (Sandra) Wiggins of Jacksonville, Fla.; children that he raised as his own: Charlotte Moultrie, Nikki Moultrie and Regina Moultrie, all of Allendale, Egar Moultrie and Nathaniel Moultrie, both of Atlanta, Ga.; nineteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a devoted companion, Mary Moultrie; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.

Callie Buist Still, 78, of Olar, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at his home.

C.B. was born in Barnwell County on April 19, 1938 and was a son of the late Luther Martin and Ida Mae Ray Still. He was a retired employee of the City of Barnwell. He was a member of Mount Lebanon Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Mount Lebanon Christian Church with Rev. Ron Franklin officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday evening at Mole Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Grubbs Still of Olar; sons, Larry (Shannon) Still of Barnwell, Ronnie (Lucy) Still of Barnwell; step son, Dennis Hair of Blackville; step daughter, Sandra Padgett of Blackville; brother, Ruby (Ann) Still of Olar; sisters, Becky Wall, Irene (Gene) Bessinger, Linda Still and Katherine Still of Olar, Martha (Tom) Sanders of Barnwell; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters, Frances Zorn and Mary Ellen Still, and brothers, Woodrow, Monroe and Charles Still.

Billy McCormack

A memorial visitation for William Edward “Billy” McCormack, 64, formerly of Blackville, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Folk Funeral Home, Inc. and Crematory, Williston. A private burial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Billy’s memory to the Blackville Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 365, Blackville, SC 29817.

Born in Orangeburg County, Billy was a son of the late William Howell McCormack Jr. and Ruby Isabella Bradley McCormack. He was a 1970 graduate of Blackville High School, he joined the U.S. Navy in 1971 and served until 1973, he was stationed aboard the USS NEOSHO (AO-143). He later moved to Texas and eventually settled in Oklahoma where he lived until his passing on August 6, 2016 at the Dallas VA Medical Center, Dallas, Texas.

Survivors include his brother, Steve McCormack and his wife, LaCinda; his sister, Darlena McCormack, all of Blackville; nieces, Amanda and Jessica, nephew, Cody and four great nieces and three great nephews.

We are extremely grateful to the staff at the Dallas VA for the compassion and support and a special thank you to Margaret Kelly and her family for the love, support and care they showed Billy.

Memorial services for Pearline Brooks, 67, of 643 Esther Street, Allendale, were held 6 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 at Allendale Community Funeral Home with Reverend Bernice Graves officiating.

Ms. Pearline Smoaks Brooks, was born in Allendale on September 17, 1948 to the late General Lee Garvin and the late Gladys Smoak Garvin.
She was educated in the public schools of Allendale County. Pearline was a seamstress with Allendale Apparel for many years. She enjoyed playing cards and entertaining at her home. She was a person that would not hesitate to tell you what was on her mind.
Pearline entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the Augusta University Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by both parents; one sister, Lilama Mae Smoaks; and two brothers: Arthur Smoaks and Robert Lee Smoaks.

Pearline leaves to cherish her fond memories, two nieces: Tabatha Smoaks and Priscilla Smoaks, both of Allendale; grandniece, Sada Smoaks of Allendale; grandnephews, Quincy Smoaks and Laquintin Smoaks, both of Allendale and a host of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services for Dorothy Huffman “Dot” Elkins, 80 of Blackville, will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Ghents Branch Baptist Church with the Reverend Rommie Martin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Folk Funeral Home, Denmark, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Mrs. Dot passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at her home.

Born in Kosciusko, MS, she was a daughter of the late William Buford Huffman and Odell Green Patterson. Mrs. Dot was a member of Ghents Branch Baptist Church and was a homemaker, avid bird watcher and fisherman.

Survivors include her husband, Leighton Corey Elkins; daughters, Debbie E. (Carlton) Owens of Blackville, Beverly J. (Jimmy) Castro of Aiken, Brenda E. (Darrell) Ferraro of Appling, Ga., Marian E. (Leonard) Collins of Sylvania, Ga., Connie E. (Henry) Moore of Aiken; sister, Nell Huffman King of Walterboro; brother, Walter William (Pam) Huffman of Gilmer, Texas; seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; best friend, Marie Huffman Truluck of Mt. Pleasant and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Lynn Elkins.

Fickling William Cromer, 89, of Blackville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016 at his home.

Born in Newberry, he was a son of the late Arthur B. and Myrtis Cave Cromer. Mr. Cromer retired from Nibco in Denmark.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lois Baxley Cromer; sons, Roger and Terry Cromer and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Dorcas Pratt, Arlene Cooper and Myrtis “Tootsie” Benner; brothers, Allison and Durwood Cromer.

Benjamin Charlton Griner, 87, of Barnwell, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Griner was born in Hampton County on October 16, 1928. He was the son of the late Benjamin Frampton Griner and the late Sara Duke Griner Hayes. He attended the Citadel for three years and graduated from the University of South Carolina. He was the retired owner of Barnwell Heating and Cooling Company. He was a member of Harmony Masonic Lodge #17, The York Rite and Omar Shrine Temple. He was a member of the Holy Apostles Episcopal Church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Holy Apostles Episcopal Church with Rev. Robert Horn officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Apostles Episcopal Churchyard. Visitation will be held after the service in the Parish Hall. Memorials may be made to the Holy Apostles Episcopal Church, 228 Hagood Ave., Barnwell, SC 29812.

Donna Gatlin McConnell

Donna Gatlin McConnell, 58, of Barnwell, passed away August 14, 2016 in the Aiken Regional Hospital.

She was born on December 5, 1957 in Bamberg to Bobby and Millie Jean Hutto Gatlin. She graduated from Blackville High School and worked for Milliken in Barnwell for over 33 years. She currently was working for MOX facility as a material handler until her illness.

Funeral services were held on August 17, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the New Harvest Outreach Ministries with Rev. Ken Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell Memory Gardens off Reynolds Road. Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mole Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Richard L. McConnell; father, Bobby Gatlin; sister, Charlene G. Still; brother, Robert (Julie) Gatlin; a number of nieces and nephews and one step daughter.

She was predeceased by her mother, Millie Jean Hutto Gatlin, and one infant brother.

Graveside funeral services for Henry David “Sonny” Still IV, 77, of Blackville, will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Blackville Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Thomas Terry officiating. Sonny passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at his home.

Born in Blackville, he was a son of the late Henry David Still III and Helen Julia Brooker Still. Sonny was married to the late Barbara Bodiford Still for 56 years, graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and was a businessman having owned and operated HDS Builders of Hilton Head Island. He formerly served as the mayor of Blackville and was Man-of-the-Year for Barnwell County. Sonny served as a deacon and was a member of the Blackville First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Still Boots; a son, Henry David “Hal” Still V, both of Blackville; grandchildren, Bain (Joel) Vaughn, Charles Buist, Spencer Still; great-grandchildren, Wylder Vaughn, Bowers “Bo” Vaughn, and Sonny Bain Vaughn. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Linda Miller.

Joel Livingston

Graveside funeral services for Joel Thomas Livingston, 82, formerly of Williston, will be held 4 p.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Pen Branch Cemetery, North, with the Reverend Tom Summers officiating.

Joel passed away on August 20, 2016.

Born March 20, 1934 in Woodford (Orangeburg County), he was a son of the late Thomas William Livingston and Eula Lee Staley Livingston.

Joel was an amateur radio operator (K4JMV) and enjoyed communication with operators worldwide. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He met the South Carolina state record criteria in the categories of typical and atypical for the white-tailed deer program. 

He began work at Savannah River Plant in 1953 and worked as supervisor in several capacities until his retirement from DuPont in 1993 and Westinghouse in 1998.

He was an U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Williston Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Livingston. He is survived by his children, Cindy Parker of Birmingham AL, Staley King of Tifton, Ga., Thomas Livingston of Portland, OR; 3 grandchildren, Morgan Beard, Callie Parker, Conner Parker; and 1 great-grandson, Keaton Parker.

Elaine Duncan Bryan, 84, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 in Barnwell.

Born on May 20, 1932 in Clarendon County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Juanita Duncan. Elaine began working for Barnwell County in 1971 in the superintendent’s office. She later became superintendent of education for Barnwell County, she was the last to serve in this position. She then transferred to the accounts payable clerk, she worked for the county for 25 1/2 years. She was a member of the Connor Sunday School Class at Barnwell First Baptist Church where she served as president for many years, and was a lifetime member of Twilight Garden Club.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Barnwell First Baptist Church Chapel. Rev. Keith Richardson, Dr. Andy Sandifer, and Rev. Farrell Ray will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery by the airport.  Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Mole Funeral Home.

Survivors include her children, Peggy (Jerry) Creech, David (Jan) Rosier, and Kenneth (Aubry) Rosier; step children, Beth Bryan, Elaine (Bob) Anderson, and Connie Malmgren; grandchildren; Mandy (Tracey) Polston, Jeremy (Lesley) Creech, Craig (Crystal) Rosier, Brannon (Kevin) Faulkner, and Stewart Hightower; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Caroline, and Cate Polston, Porter, Holland, and Kannon Faulkner, Natalie, Cole, and Wyatt Creech, Jada Judd, Reagan and Meagan Rosier.  She was predeceased by a sister, Sarah Knudsen.

Funeral services for Margaret Ann Mitchell Robinson, 65, of Ridge Spring, will be held 11 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2016 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with burial in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, August 28 at the funeral home.

Margaret passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016.

Born in Batesburg, she was a daughter of the late Johnny B. Mitchell Sr. and Catherine Chavis Mitchell. She was a 1971 graduate of Blackville-Hilda High School, was member of Spring Branch Baptist Church and retired from Blackville Manufacturing as a seamstress.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Kerry Wayne Robinson; daughters, Mamie (Mason) Ellison, Stephanie Robinson; sons, Benjamin (Suzie) Robinson Sr., Kerry (Crystal) Robinson, Robbie (Jessica) Robinson; grandchildren, Timothy Kael Ellison, Amy Sue Robinson, Lilly Ann Robinson, Catherine Robinson, Ruth Robinson, Benjamin Robinson Jr., Tara Robinson, Jude Scott, Easton Robinson, Madison Robinson; sisters, Lore (Cecil) Chavis, Jeany (Gerald) Fields, Maggie (Johnny) Williams, Daisy (Thomas) Tuten; brother, Johnny B. Mitchell Jr. and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Day, and a nephew, Luke Mitchell.

Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Lee Isaac Jr. of Blackville will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 3 p.m. at the Bethany Baptist Church – 9 Levy Lane, Hwy. 3, Blackville – with Reverend Henry Jones officiating.  Interment will follow in the Blackville Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the church from 2 p.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.

Mr. Jimmy Lee Isaac Jr., 51, was born the third child of ten children to Mrs. Nerline Jones Isaac and the late Mr. Jimmy Lee Isaac Sr. on October 3, 1964 in Blackville.

He graduated in the Class of 1984 at Blackville-Hilda High School of Blackville.

He was employed in various positions including Heritage Green and Augusta Fiberglass for a number years. Some of his responsibilities included grinding, sanding, and often reading blue prints. His various jobs led him to several different states.

“Boogie”, as he was affectionately known, had a special gift. The gift of writing poetry was his inspiring privilege. Many poems were written on several different occasions for whoever needed his beautiful expression for words of inspiration. His loving memory will forever live in the hearts and minds of those who loved and cherished him.

Boogie was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Lee Isaac Sr., a sister, Sandra Isaac, and one brother, Roger Lee Isaac.

On Monday, May 6, 2016, Mr. Jimmy Lee Isaac Jr., made his final transition at Aiken Regional Medical Centers of Aiken following an extended illness.

Loved ones he leaves to cherish his memories include: his loving mother, Mrs. Nerline Jones Isaac of the home; six daughters: Felicia Tooks of Williston, Victoria Tooks of Barnwell, Jasmine Tooks of Tallahasee, Fla., Shakieya Sanders of Aiken, and Dellase Felix of Barnwell; four sisters: Everdell (Mark) Daniels and Willie Mae (Robert) Smalls, both of Blackville, Lois (Demetrius) Glover of Aiken, and Nakisha (Jerry) Smith of Greer; five brothers: Abadine (Barbara) Jones, Donace (Artelia) Isaac, Sherwin (Asia)  Isaac Sr., and Greg  Isaac, all of Blackville, and Rodney (Michelle) Isaac of Wagener; 14 grandchildren, a special friend, Alfreda Tooks of Barnwell, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and sorrowing friends.
