Rebecca P. Bonnette - Springfield

Funeral services for Rebecca Poole Bonnette, 89 of Springfield, will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the Springfield United Methodist Church with the Reverends Franklin Copeland and Dewitt Livingston officiating. Burial will be in the Springfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Folk Funeral Home in Williston and other times at the home of her daughter in Springfield. Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Mrs. Bonnette to the Springfield United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 207, Springfield, SC 29146. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Laurel Baye Health Care of Williston and Pathway Hospice for all of the love, care and support given to their mother and them during this difficult time.

Mrs. Bonnette passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016.

Born in Aiken County, she was a daughter of the late William T. and Mary Williamson Poole. She was a homemaker and for many years along with her late husband of sixty-four years, Clarence O’Neil Bonnette, owned and operated Bonnette’s Phillips 66 Service Station. She was a member of the Springfield United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

Survivors include her daughter, Martha Bonnette Lawson (Steve) of Springfield; sons, Thomas Eugene Bonnette (Stephanie Webb) and Charles Edward Bonnette (Melody), all of Blackville; grandchildren, Mark Lawson (Sheron), Kevin Lawson (Amy), Regina Pinckney (Sam), Brant Bonnette and Lizann Bonnette; great-grandchildren, Pate and Kole Lawson, Lucas and Addison Pinckney; sister, Carolyn P. Hall of Springfield and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Clarence O’Neil Bonnette Jr., sisters, Sara Poole, Valerie P. Kennerly, Virginia P. Spell, Louise P. Dodenhoff; brothers, Watson, Horace and Richard Poole.
